I'm not trying to get rich quick but are paid to read email sites a good way to make some extra money?

I recently signed up with SendEarnings, Hits4Pay, and InboxDollars. I am in college and have a part time job but I'm around a computer all day and check my email regularly. Now I have a realistic approach to this and I realize that emails are only worth 5 cents but will I actually get paid or am I wasting my time?
